Is bigger better? Apple apparently thinks so.
The Cupertino tech giant is reportedly developing a 12-inch version of the iPad that would sport several features its smaller 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch counterparts lack, like the ability to view two apps side-by-side and allow several log-in accounts.
According to a report from 9to5Mac, which cites several sources familiar with the matter, those software features could be unveiled at Apple's WWDC conference next month, while the larger iPad might hit shelves some time later this year.
While iPhone sales have soared, iPad sales haven't fared as well. Last quarter, for example, the company sold 12.6 million iPads — 2.4 million units less than analysts predicted and 23% fewer units sold compared with the same time last year.
Part of the decline is likely due to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, which debuted last fall with larger screens — 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches, respectively — than previous versions and no doubt nibbled away at iPad sales.
If true, however, the big question will be whether a 12-inch iPad would revive flagging sales, given its display would overlap with the screen sizes of some MacBook computers.

While there has been a steady stream of purported leaks and conjecture over a more business oriented iPad, dubbed the iPad Pro, we must not forget about a credible successor to Microsoft’s excellent Surface Pro 3, which is approaching its first birthday.
Not wanting to ruin a good recipe, Microsoft is reportedly working on a Surface Pro 4 and it will probably not be a wholesale departure from its predecessor.
What will Microsoft have in store for us with the newest Surface? Well it looks like we will have a couple choices, big and bigger. The 12-inch display will carry on, and there may also be a 14-inch display option to choose. Both are rumored to have 2160x1440 resolution.
On the inside, the latest and greatest from Intel, Core M Broadwell silicon based on the bleeding edge 14nm build process, will be running the show. That means the Surface Pro 4 may be among the first full powered tablet/Ultrabook/laptop/PC that will ship without a cooling fan. Of course, we can speculate even further based on the Intel chip (if accurate). That all translates to the possibility of an even thinner package, and it will probably score high marks for battery life as well.
Memory and storage is not confirmed, but 8 or maybe even up to 16GB of RAM may be possible, and without a fan, there is room for even bigger SSD storage. The stylus is sure to be around for the party.

Assuming that not too much power is given up in favor of the efficiency that is sure to be realized with the Intel Broadwell CPU, the Surface Pro 4 looks like it will be ready and able to pick up where the Surface Pro 3 leaves off. The newest line of Surface Pro tablets are expected to hit the market in the latter part of the second quarter 2015.

The Wall Street Journal today reports an extremely surprising development about the upcoming 12.9" iPad Pro. While confirming that production of Apple's largest tablet to date has been pushed to indicate a fall, instead of a spring release, which was already tipped by Reuters, the WSJ adds another curious tidbit.
It turns out that Apple is thinking to go with the flow, and include a good ol' USB 3.0 port on the tablet, which would be really earth shattering, given Apple's knack for proprietary connectors. "Apple has continued to rework some of the features of the larger iPad. It is now considering the faster technology for data synchronization between the larger iPad and other computing devices," tipped the insiders. "Apple is also working on technology to speed up the iPad charging time, but it remains uncertain if the final design will have these new features."

Apple iPad Plus production reportedly delayed until September
The Apple iPad Plus, the large 12.9-inch tablet allegedly being worked on by Apple, has been delayed according to a report published on Wednesday. The delay is said to be caused by Apple's inability to obtain enough screens to produce the tablet. Today's report says that the large-screened slate won't go into production until September. Original plans called for Apple to start mass producing the tablet this month. The source of this information is said to be an anonymous tipster who is familiar with Apple's plans.
Last month, alleged specs of the iPad Plus leaked. The tablet is expected to feature a 12.9-inch display with 2K resolution. The tablet is believed to be 7mm thin and weigh in at 700 grams. An 11,000 mAh battery is rumored to be inside.

Apple is holding an event on March 9th at which time the tech titan is expected to reveal the latest information about the Apple Watch, including a launch date. Prior to today's report, there had been some hope that Apple might use the event to pass along some information about the large-screen slate. But if this report is legit, Apple might wait before making this product official.
