Mahindra Thar New Model Launched At INR 8.03 Lakhs
The 2015 Mahindra Thar goes on sale for INR 8.03 lakhs (ex-showroom, Nashik) for the top-of-the-line CRDe engine variants. The new Thar gets some substantial updates both at its styling- and the mechanical-end. The biggest highlight of the recent update is the introduction of mechanical locking rear differential, which should make the Thar all the more competent off the road. The facelift is currently available only on the more premium CRDe variant, which is aimed at the ‘lifestyle-oriented’ audience. The more utilitarian DI variant remains unchanged. Powering the 2015 Mahindra Thar new model is a 2,523cc, 4-cylinder, CRDe turbo-diesel motor that pumps out a maximum power of 63 BHP and a peak torque of 182.5 Nm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the Thar is available in both 2WD and 4WD avatars.
On the outside, the Thar facelift gets redesigned front and rear bumpers, all-
new wheel arches, new side steps, a new canopy and clear lens headlights.
In interiors, 2015 Mahindra Thar facelift gets all new dual tone dashboard with 3 pot instrument cluster, premium quality AC vents, attractive gear knob, all new central console with provision for 2-din music system, dual tone steering wheel and 12V charging point.
On the Exterior part, 2015 Mahindra Thar facelift gets new front & rear bumpers, new wheel archs, clear lens headlamp, tweaked side footsteps and there is windshield demister as well. however there is no change in color schemes as all five colours remains same i.e Diamond white, rocky beige, mist silver, red rage & fiery black.
