According to a report from Bloomberg, Apple is planning on refreshing the iPad Pro with an upgraded camera and faster processor.

Bloomberg also says that they are planning on upping the screen size on the lowest end iPad to 10.2-inches.

Apple Is Refreshing The iPad Pro With An Upgraded Camera And Faster Processor.

Pricing of the iPad Pro starts at $799 for the 32GB version and goes all the way up to $949 and $1079 for the 128GB Wi-Fi and Wi-FI + Cellular models, respectively. There's no 32GB Cellular model it seems, though.

Will it succeed? Well, the iPad Pro has a breathtaking display resolution, and split-screen multitasking, plus the keyboard and Pencil stylus accessories to make it a formidable workhorse or designer machine, so we'll see how the sales pan out when the the iPad Pro is released some time in November.

These sales will, as usual, depend heavily on the price tag, and here is how Apple decided to price its largest tablet ever:

Apple iPad Pro Wi-Fi model: 32GB/128GB - $799/$949

Apple iPad Pro Wi-Fi + LTE model: 128GB - $1079

Speaking of pricing, the Apple Pencil for the iPad Pro will retail for $99. If you want the cool new Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro, that’ll be another $169.

The Apple iPad Pro Prices Goes Official

The Apple iPad Pro is undoubtedly the more interesting of the duo, packing a big 12.9" display with 2732 x 2048 pixels resolution, which keeps the same pixel density as the iPad Air 2 - 264ppi.

The new display is capable of variable fresh rate, which should improve the batter life. It also comes with a new accessory called announced Apple Pencil - an active stylus specifically designed for the iPad Pro. You can draw various diagrams and stuff on most of the system apps - they have been already updated to support it.
The iPad Pro is powered by a brand new A9x chip, which according to Apple offers twice the memory bandwidth of the A8x (within the iPad Air 2), twice the flash storage speed, 1.8x better overall performance and twice the GPU processing power. We can't confirm the new CPU core count and clock, neither can we yet detail the GPU and RAM amount.
The iPad Pro has a promised battery life of 10 hours if you are to use it nonstop.
The iPad Pro is big, but it's just 6.9mm thin and weighs 712g, which is decent for the size.
Apple announced another exclusive accessory for the iPad Pro - the Smart Keyboard, which is basically Apple's take on the Surface Type cover.
Apple iPad Pro runs on iOS 9 by default and it supports picture-in-picture and spilt screen view.
The Apple iPad Pro comes with the same 8MP iSight camera the Apple iPad Air 2 offered. Its connectivity options are virtually the same - Bluetooth, Wi-Fiac, and optional LTE Cat.4 support. There is a Touch ID sensor as well.
Apple iPad Pro will become available in November in Silver, Space Gray and Gold. The avaialble storage options are 32GB ($799) and 128GB ($949). The LTE model comes with 128GB only and costs $1079.
Finally, the Smart Keyboard will set you back $169, while the Apple Pencil is priced at $99.

Finally Apple iPad Pro Goes Official

Today at 10 AM Pacific/1PM Eastern time, Apple biggest press event of the year is scheduled to kick off.

If the source turns out to be accurate, then the 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro will be priced somewhere between the price of the 11-inch MacBook Air and the price of the Retina MacBook.

Allegedly, the base Apple iPad Pro (Wi-Fi only) model will come with 32GB of internal storage space and will be priced at $799, which is $100 more expensive than the 128GB Apple iPad Air 2. Moving further up the pricing range, the 64GB Wi-Fi only iPad Pro will allegedly cost $899, while the 128GB version is said to be priced at $999.

According to the source, the LTE-enabled iPad Pro models will cost $130 more compared to the Wi-Fi only versions. This means that the most tricked-out iPad Pro, the 128GB model with LTE connectivity, will be priced at a whopping $1129. If this turns out to be accurate pricing info, then the maxed out Apple iPad Pro will be just slightly cheaper than the base Retina MacBook model.

If you see a stylus, they blew it," Steve Jobs famously said in 2010 after the iPad launched.

Jobs was referring to how the iPad was unlike any tablet that had been released before because it didn't rely on a stylus to control input. So we're not sure how he'd react if rumors of an iPad Pro with stylus support turn out to be true.
In recent weeks, we've started to see some real smoke regarding the rumored 12.9-inch iPad, including multiple reports of leaked schematics and cases.
According to AppleInsider's sources, the bigger tablet will also boast built-in NFC for easy accessory pairing. NFC could also allow the device to "serve as a payment receiving terminal for Apple Pay."

The screen, which is said to have Force Touch, Apple's pressure-sensitive input technology that was first introduced on the Apple Watch, will reportedly work with a Bluetooth stylus. Like the Force Touch Apple Watch display and new MacBook trackpad, the iPad Pro will presumably detect how hard your finger presses it.
A stylus and pressure-sensitive touchscreen could put the iPad Pro on equal footing with Microsoft's Surface.
The report also claims the iPad Pro will have a USB-C port, the new reversible port capable of receiving power, outputting video and transferring data. If a USB-C port does make it onto the iPad Pro, it would mark the first time Apple's included a secondary port on an iPad. Microsoft's Surface tablets have included a full-sized USB port since the beginning, but a USB-C port would be smaller and more elegant.
A larger iPad with a bigger screen and more productivity features aimed at professionals could change the downward momentum.
Apple typically refreshes its iPad hardware in the fall. It's all still Rumour and speculation, but you know the old saying: Where there's smoke, there's fire.

iPad Pro with stylus and Force Touch To Challenge Microsoft Surface

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 may have two variants, and should be available before the rumored iPad Pro

While there has been a steady stream of purported leaks and conjecture over a more business oriented iPad, dubbed the iPad Pro, we must not forget about a credible successor to Microsoft’s excellent Surface Pro 3, which is approaching its first birthday.

Not wanting to ruin a good recipe, Microsoft is reportedly working on a Surface Pro 4 and it will probably not be a wholesale departure from its predecessor.

What will Microsoft have in store for us with the newest Surface? Well it looks like we will have a couple choices, big and bigger. The 12-inch display will carry on, and there may also be a 14-inch display option to choose. Both are rumored to have 2160x1440 resolution.

On the inside, the latest and greatest from Intel, Core M Broadwell silicon based on the bleeding edge 14nm build process, will be running the show. That means the Surface Pro 4 may be among the first full powered tablet/Ultrabook/laptop/PC that will ship without a cooling fan. Of course, we can speculate even further based on the Intel chip (if accurate). That all translates to the possibility of an even thinner package, and it will probably score high marks for battery life as well.

Memory and storage is not confirmed, but 8 or maybe even up to 16GB of RAM may be possible, and without a fan, there is room for even bigger SSD storage. The stylus is sure to be around for the party.

Assuming that not too much power is given up in favor of the efficiency that is sure to be realized with the Intel Broadwell CPU, the Surface Pro 4 looks like it will be ready and able to pick up where the Surface Pro 3 leaves off. The newest line of Surface Pro tablets are expected to hit the market in the latter part of the second quarter 2015.
